We tendered for and won an instruction to value 126 units of the Stokrotka chain of supermarkets for bank loan purpose. Each property had to be inspected, valued and the valuation report had to be written under Polish law requiring a text of at least 30 pages per property.
For a small firm such as Polish Properties this project presented an enormous challenge. The work involved the continuous engagement of the whole Polish Properties team over a period of 4 months. Whilst the profitability of this job was not high because we also had to engage subcontractors its significance lies in the prospect of securing future portfolio valuations for Stokrotka. The instruction has enabled us to streamline our valuation process which effectively now comprises 4 separate components undertaken by different qualified valuers 1) Inspection 2) Market Research 3) Valuation and 4) Preparation of Report Text. It has also given us the comfort of knowing that notwithstanding a small team we are able to handle any number of portfolio valuations going forward.
